The night was bleak tonight. The moon, which used to shine so brilliantly, was restarting its erythematic shifting by disappearing behind the earths shadow. Shining in its place were the stars. Nebulas and far away systems created designs to those who watched the night sky. Tonight their designs were especially noticeable.
A barren landscape sat under the sky. Ragged rocks and stalagmites littered the edges of ravines, giving the horizon a devastated appearance. Few plants could be found, all life drained from the soil. Any forms of life seemed to be scared aw

The Barrens. A savannah sheltered by two sets of mountain ranges to the north and west, and the sea to the east. Dry most of the year and soaking wet the next, it is a difficult place to live if you choose to stay.
A Tauren, muscled, clad in leather armor sat in his home. Unlike the classic nomadic tents made of freshly skinned animals, stretched out and woven together, this home was constructed of logs and wood. More tempered to the Barrens harsh weather extremes during the seasonal change, and also better to protect his possessions. Books stuffed in shelves barely able to hold the burden,

The Naga rose up, as high as his tail would let him, prepared to strike down on the babbling infant resting on the ground.
From the side came a combination of fur, fang and claw as Agrogon lunged from the grass, throwing the Naga off balance and both of them tumbling down the embankment. Dirt and grass mixed with fur and scales as they rolled and then came to a stop, Agrogon above his opponent. The Naga was dazed momentarily, and the Tauren couldnt waste any time.
Using the claws of his manticore form, he raked the Naga across the back before diving in with his teeth, biting into scales, fin

Chapter 1: Time and Place
The rays of the sun broke through the clouds that hovered over the village of Pallet Town. Warming energy touched the ground, heating the sidewalks and lawns.
Pallet Town had always been a small town. They received their power from a locally owned and operated power plant. The nearest shopping town was Viridian City, a two-day walk north. Pallet was home to about 10,000 humans and twice as many Pokémon.
Sitting inside his room on the top floor of a second story home, Denny Roth sat at his drafting table. Pencil in hand, and paper before him.
His hand quickly sketched out an outline, erased, emphasized

Denny wiped the sweat off his brow and the dirt on his face smudged with the motion. Niji was breathing hard, her fur was a little ruffled from the attack and there was still fear in her heart. Sitting back, her trainer hit the ground hard on his rump, still struggling to get his breath back after chasing after the fight.
Good job Niji, he said calmly, holding a Pokéball in his hand. We caught one and you didnt even have to land a single attack. The Pokéball had a two in the center of the knob, and the Pokémon inside wasnt struggling to escape.

Chapter 3: Beneath the Dark Side of the Moon
The forest outside of Pewter City was thick with pine trees and a few cottonwoods. The drastic terrain of the region meant that only certain plants could survive. Igneous rocks and formations made the north eastern part of Kanto a rough area. Rivers through the area create drastic vertical cliffs with colorful displays of chemically stained rock. Mount Moon is considered the eastern end of the Silver Range that spanned both Kanto and Johto. Kanto is mostly a volcanic area, with ancient lava flows and deposits from Mount Silver along the western edge of the region.
Such drastic topography i

Chapter 4: Between a Rock and a Hard Place
Deep below the volcanic cap of the Silver Mountain Rage, within the limestone layers that was the basement rock of Mount Moon, two trainers stumbled upon an operation by an evil syndicate. Denny, Niji, and Rose stood within a tent of an enslavement camp, captured scientists looking at them with sunken eyes and dirt layered on their skin. Many of them were middle aged, with one very old scientist sitting down to rest his knees.
Th-Theyll kill you? Denny said, shock through his system.
The older paleontologist looked at him, annoyance in his eyes. Of course theyll k
Trea, a large trade town on the western continent. Merchants of all kinds sold and bought their goods in this town. The town was big enough that there was a slight poverty problem, and pick-pockets who just stole enough to survive from day to day. It was well known that there were several groups of pick-pockets, working independently just to make due with what they could steal from the merchants.
The market place was getting ready for its noon rush when two people walked into Trea. One looked like a drifter and the other was dressed in the blue armor that showed she was a member of the Royal Guard.
